ABOUT

Born in El Paso, TX and raised in Santa Fe, NM, John is a composer and multi-instrumentalist currently studying Film Scoring and Conducting at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.
John grew up playing various styles of music in various bands, from jazz to heavy metal, on instruments such as drums, guitar, bass, and piano. In high school, his compositional interest took center stage. It was around this time that he also began learning to play the pipe organ, an experience which aided his compositional skill immensely. During his first year at Berklee, John wrote his first major work, a three-movement violin concerto in F Minor (which he plans to go back and rewrite at a later date). Immediately afterwards, he began composing a full four-movement symphony, of which the last movement is currently being written. John has also scored numerous short films.
